WebDec 11, 2024 · Ideally if you're aiming to upgrade your laptop ONLY for dwarf fortress, then go for the cpu that has the biggest l1-l4 cache. The AMD Ryzen 5600U has a bigger L3 than i5 (double the size), while i5 only has 2mb bigger L2. This is why I think it's slightly better. Only thing i5 got DF wise is a slightly better l2 (but much worse l3).
