WebJan 14, 2024 · The .msf files are indexes and not human readable. You are interested in the larger, extentionless files. Those are the pure text containers holding the messages. Unless you compacted the nessages, your deleted messages are still there. In fact, the deleted messages are in two places: “inbox” and “trash”. You can find where the Inbox folder is stored by looking at Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Local Directory, or Tools -> Account Settings -> Local Folders -> Local Directory if you are using a Global Inbox.
