However, I did have $1,871 of voluntary taxes withheld on box 6 of my SSA-1099, and I don't see that amount anywhere on my 1040. Seems like I paid tax I didn't need to and now I'm not getting it back. The $1,871 doesn't appear anywhere in the 1040.
